Elected to the Redmond City Council in 2017, Steve Fields is recognized for his passion and commitment to the people of Redmond. Steve listens and responds to the many ideas emerging from city residents. On Council, he asks tough, thoughtful, and fundamental questions on your behalf.
He is committed to deliver thoughtful growth, protecting our environment and providing economic equity. He will fairly determine land use, build trust in public safety, and bring an innovative business climate that helps small local businesses and entrepreneurs.
During the past four years, he has proven that his professional business experience, government management, and leadership values are effective. He has helped make Redmond City Council decision-making more comprehensive and transparent.
Steve has been a Redmond resident for over 30 years. Along with his wife he owns a local coffee shop in Redmond since 2014 and has three children, who all attended Redmond public schools. His dedication to our local community and beyond is shown in his over 20 years work supporting local charities, He is active in youth sports and helps kids learn the value of teamwork and fair play, already umpiring over 40 Little League games this year.
Steve has worked hard for us and has been tireless and met his campaign promises. He has an unflinching record of putting people first and working to build community. Steve has inspired the community and his fellow Councilmembers on addressing the climate change emergency, ensuring inclusion of all people in our diverse community, and making sure that Redmond is a local democracy that listens and acts on the behalf of the people we serve. He has worked to improve fiscal responsibility, develop a community-driven strategic approach to planning, and ensuring value for your tax dollars.
